Michael Ridgeway is the most recent talent hire for WNKY as a full-time reporter and fill-in anchor.
Michael is a small-town kid from Campbellsville, Kentucky who found his way to the business by what he now considers a small blessing. Going through grade school, Michael had always been singled out for his voice at such a young age and had heard on more than one occasion he should be on radio or TV. So by the will of the people decided to throw his hat in the ring and give broadcasting a try.
After graduating from Taylor County High School, he decided to further his education at Western Kentucky University, majoring in Broadcasting. During his undergrad years, Michael was an active member of the Campus Activities Board, Western’s student ran News Channel 12, and Alpha Kappa Psi as well as Kappa Alpha Psi.
Spare time activities for Michael would be anime, cooking, and video games. He’s also a big fan of hip-hop music and culture.
