Bowling Green woman sentenced in drug trafficking case

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green woman is facing 10 years in prison in relation to drug trafficking.

According to a release by the United States Attorney’s Office, Western District of Kentucky, court documents state Adrienne Cauzzort, 40, is sentenced for the possession with intent to distribute 5 grams or more of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Officials say in June 2022, Cauzzort possessed and intended to distribute nearly 30 grams of methamphetamine, along with two handguns after previous convictions in 2015 related to wanton endangerment and robbery.

The case was investigated by the ATF and Bowling Green/Warren County Appalachia High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force.

Cauzzort is also sentenced to a four-year term of supervised release following 10 years in prison.
