GLASGOW, Ky. – A man has been arrested after police say he was caught on camera leaving a Glasgow home.

Police were dispatched on Tuesday, Dec. 26 to the 500 block of East Main Street, according to a uniform citation.

The Glasgow Police Department says after speaking with the homeowner, officers learned the owner had been upstairs during the incident and had Ring Camera footage of a man leaving his home.

Police say they were able to review the footage and identify the suspect as 56-year-old Kermit Hall Jr.

According to the uniform citation, Hall had entered the home through a window before later leaving a medication bottle with his name on it behind.

The citation further states authorities located Hall at the Circle K on Columbia Avenue wearing the same clothes he had on in the footage.

Hall was detained. Police say during a search, they located two dollar bills in Hall’s pocket, with one containing suspected cocaine and the other containing suspected methamphetamine.

Hall was arrested and taken to the Barren County Detention Center.

He faces charges of second-degree burglary, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first offense, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), first offense.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green woman is facing 10 years in prison in relation to drug trafficking.

According to a release by the United States Attorney’s Office, Western District of Kentucky, court documents state Adrienne Cauzzort, 40, is sentenced for the possession with intent to distribute 5 grams or more of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Officials say in June 2022, Cauzzort possessed and intended to distribute nearly 30 grams of methamphetamine, along with two handguns after previous convictions in 2015 related to wanton endangerment and robbery.

The case was investigated by the ATF and Bowling Green/Warren County Appalachia High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force.

Cauzzort is also sentenced to a four-year term of supervised release following 10 years in prison.

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says it has seized several weapons in connection with a gun theft investigation.

Deputies say they responded Saturday to the 200 block of Walnut Creek Drive in reference to an investigation of gun thefts.

According to deputies, they detected a strong smell of marijuana coming from the apartment, detained the tenants and obtained a search warrant.

The sheriff’s office says while executing the search warrant, they found four semi-automatic rifles, five handguns, one of which had been entered as stolen, marijuana, digital scales, grinders, cash, weapon magazines, gun accessories, drug paraphernalia and ammo.

A vehicle used “in the commission of the gun thefts” was also seized, according to deputies.

Further details have not been released at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation.

MORGANTOWN, Ky. – A 26-year-old man is facing charges after police say they found a missing 15-year-old female from Florida with him at a Morgantown, Kentucky residence.

The Morgantown Police Department says it responded to a call about the missing juvenile on Tuesday, leading them to meet with Child Protective Services at the reported residence.

Police say the male subject was identified as Pedro Gomez of Morgantown.

According to police, Gomez said he had traveled to the teen’s residence in Florida before taking her back to Morgantown without consent from her guardian.

CPS took the 15-year-old for a temporary lodge until the legal guardian is able to pick her up from Florida, authorities say.

Gomez was arrested. He faces charges of first-degree kidnapping and first-degree sexual abuse.

He was taken to the Butler County Jail.

MORGANTOWN, Ky. – Two men are facing charges in connection with drug trafficking in Butler County.

According to a release by the Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force, drug task force detectives obtained a search warrant that the Kentucky State Police Interdiction Unit used to conduct a search of a residence on Wednesday night in Morgantown.

Officials say detectives and troopers found 22-year-old Pacheco Alan Esquivel and 39-year-old Benjamin Alexis Alicea in the residence with about 40 pounds of marijuana.

Esquivel and Alicea were arrested without resistance. The drug task force says it additionally seized a hand gun and $2,652 in cash.

Esquivel was previously arrested in August at an Airbnb off of East 13th Avenue in Bowling Green and charged with trafficking in marijuana (over 5 pounds). Esquivel and another man, Emmanuel V. Garcia, possessed 30 pounds of marijuana in their apartment, officials say.

Esquivel was indicted in Warren County in October before being released on a $6,000 cash bond.

The investigation into the the source of the marijuana and trafficking activity in both Bowling Green and Butler County is ongoing.

Esquivel and Alicea were taken to the Butler County Jail.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green police say they are in search of a man wanted on a warrant in connection with a July death at the Muse apartment complex.

Police say Malcolm Jones is wanted in relation to the death of WKU student Ayanna Morgan.

Jones was indicted Wednesday, according to Bowling Green Police Department public information officer Ronnie Ward.

Another suspect, Malik Jones, was arrested in October and charged with murder in connection with the case.

SOMERSET, Ky. – A 20-year-old man has been arrested after police say they found the suspect’s father and grandfather dead after a shooting in Pulaski County.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office says it responded Tuesday with state troopers, Somerset police and the Science Hill police to a call of a shooting victim on Raleigh Road in Science Hill, Kentucky.

When authorities arrived, they say they found Ardyth “Ray” Prather Jr., 67, dead from apparent gunshot wounds. Ardyth Prather’s wife, Joann Prather, 65, had been shot and stabbed but was still alive, according to authorities.

She was treated by Somerset/Pulaski EMS before being flown to Lexington. Her condition is unknown at this time.

Authorities say they also checked a residence nearby after seeing blood on the door, where they found Ardyth “Trae” Prather III, 43, dead inside the residence.

Law enforcement is now working to find the alleged perpetrator, Austin Prather, who is the son and grandson of the victims.

Authorities say he fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

Around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, authorities say they arrested Austin Prather in Evansville, Indiana.

Prather is being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail in Evansville pending extradition proceedings in Indiana and Kentucky.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – At a home on Gary Avenue, a woman died after what police believe to be a case of abuse or neglect of an adult.

Jazzmyne Rose Fikes, age 44, was bedridden due to her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, according to her caretakers . Lonnie and Alexander Leonard were tasked with caring for her, but she was found dead Sunday morning on May 14. The investigation is ongoing and Bowling Green police as well as the Warren County coroner’s office are awaiting the autopsy report from medical examiners in Louisville.

Police are unsure of what transpired at this time but have taken the Leonard brothers into custody and have charged them with “knowingly abuse/neglect of an adult by person”, and though not all of the pieces are put together, police say Fikes was in very poor health. Fikes was severely underweight, weighing only 80 pounds and covered in bed sores. The most shocking aspect of her condition, wearing an adult diaper that was filled with maggots.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – On the night of Saturday, May 13, the Hot Rod’s ticket office was vandalized.

Jeff Ciocco, Director of Stadium Operations said he was there that night when the suspect threw a rock through three of the five windows at the ticket office and though he didn’t hear anything, he told police and News 40 that the suspect came from near BGMU according to the surveillance video.

Ciocco said he couldn’t say for sure why anyone would break the windows and Bowling Green police said the same. In speaking with Ronnie Ward, the public information officer said that while they’re not sure of motive, they are certain that it’s an expensive act.

Ward said the next steps are to look at surrounding surveillance to try and track down the perpetrator.
