SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – The Scottsville Police Department has received a donation of body armor for K-9 Nova.

Police say the bullet and stab protective vest was given thanks to nonprofit Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., along with a sponsorship hosted by CareOne at Essex Park, Beverly, Massachusetts.

According to police, the body armor is made in the United States, custom fitted and NIJ certified.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. has a mission to give bullet and stab protective vests and further assistance to dogs with law enforcement and similar agencies nationally.
