Recent car thefts in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – If you’re in Glasgow, you might want to be a little more careful when leaving your car unattended.

News 40 spoke to the Glasgow Police Department today about a Facebook post they made recently. The department said over the past 3 weeks, 4 cars and a motorcycle have been reported stolen within city limits.

Major Terry Flatt, the department’s public information officer, told News 40 that two of those cars had the keys left inside. The major also said they’ve been wide spread incidents so it’s hard to pin down a particular reason.

Flatt urged the community caution around this holiday season and said in his interview that everyone should be going the extra mile to make sure their vehicles are safe.
