Howell’s interception-filled season continues with two more in Washington’s loss to San Francisco

LANDOVER, Md. (AP) — Sam Howell threw two more interceptions in the Washington Commanders’ 27-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Howell remained the starting quarterback after being benched earlier in the week because backup Jacoby Brissett was sidelined by a hamstring injury. Howell leads the NFL with 19 interceptions this season. He was also sacked for a league-leading 61st time. It remains to be seen if Howell, Brissett or even Jake Fromm might start for 4-12 Washington in the regular-season finale against Dallas.
