Community Driven: Speakout Speakeasy Recap
One local non-profit’s mission is to empower and support anyone impacted by sexual trauma. Hope Harbor say they are, “a non-profit crisis counseling center that provides one-of-a-kind services to victims of sexual assault and their families and friends.”
On May 26th, the organization hosted its annual Speakout Speakeasy, a fundraising event themed after the 1920s. News 40’s own Julie Milam sat down with Hope Harbor’s Executive Director Melissa Whitley. For this week’s Community Driven, these two break down what this event means for the community.
