Ashlee Wilson, Morning Show Host of WNKY News 40 Sunrise, is a proud native of Bowling Green, KY. After attending Western Kentucky University, Wilson moved to New York City where she pursued a career in arts and entertainment.
Wilson returned to Bowling Green and worked with the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center and the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce. She initially joined WNKY News 40 Sunrise as the original Social Media and Trending Reporter. Having stepped away for a few years, Wilson was thrilled to make her return to News 40 as the newest host of WNKY News 40 Sunrise in the spring of 2022.
Wilson was recently named one of Bowling Green’s 40 Under 40 and serves in many capacities with different organizations in South Central Kentucky, including the American Marketing Association of Bowling Green, United Way, Center for Courageous Kids, Down Syndrome of South Central Kentucky, and Kids on the Block.
During the day, you will find Ashlee at Bowling Green Ballpark where she serves as the first female Assistant General Manager for the Bowling Green Hot Rods.
