FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police says a man accused of injuring two people in a shooting in Knox County has been arrested.

According to KSP trooper Shane Jacobs, 39-year-old Donald Napier was apprehended in Floyd County.

Napier was wanted on a warrant after authorities say a shooting injured Jonathan and April Barrett on Saturday, Dec. 23.

Authorities say both individuals were sitting in a vehicle at a residence in Knox County when they were shot, sustaining non-life threatening injuries.

On Tuesday, Dec. 26, a 2013 white Chevrolet Malibu that Napier had been driving was found in Richmond, Kentucky, authorities say.

Jacobs says Napier will be awaiting extradition back to Knox County and faces two counts of first-degree assault.
