KSP searching for man in connection with Knox County shooting

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is looking for a man in relation to a shooting that injured two people in Knox County.

Troopers say 39-year-old Donald Napier is wanted after a shooting injured Jonathan and April Barrett on Saturday, Dec. 23. KSP has an active warrant for Napier for two counts of first-degree assault.

Authorities say both individuals were sitting in a vehicle at a residence on Lynn Camp School Hollow Road when they were shot, sustaining non-life threatening injuries.

According to KSP, the injured individuals were treated at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

On Dec. 26, the 2013 white Chevrolet Malibu that Napier had been driving was found in Richmond, Kentucky and impounded, authorities say. Napier, however, was not found with the vehicle.
